Later That Evening....
We still have the bat with us. He is currently hiding behind one of the cupboards in the kitchen. I closed the pocket doors in the living room and we have isolated the kitchen as much as possible..... The Husband said he thinks it just flew out. Let us be truly thankful.

Man, that is ONE determined bat!!!
I'm sorry but I cannot help but laugh! Perhaps because it sounds more like a diary written by someone in a movie who is trying to hold off a bunch of zombies or something. Unless the bat has rabies you should be fine. I take it Cleo isn't a bat hunter?
I hope that the bat didn't return!! And that it wasn't a vampire bat (well with all those vampire novels and movies...)
But what did the next day bring? That's what I want to know.
Ohhh, what happens when one gets behind on one's blog reading... ;)
Sorry to leave a post here, but I couldn't figure out how to contact you! I saw your post on the LnV blog and wanted to let you know about my videocast. It's at roundthetwistwithcarin.blogspot.com. And it's all knitting with some reviews thrown in. And as an added bonus, you can actually *see* what I'm working on! Just wanted to give you another option!
